Our Managing Partner founded BlueLion Law in 2018 after more than 25 years at Magic Circle and leading international law firms, most recently as a partner and practice head at a global top-10 firm.

He is recognized by legal directories as a leading individual for commercial litigation, with particular expertise in banking disputes, professional negligence, and fraud. Chambers UK describes him as "exceptionally commercial and strategic" with "an ability to cut through complexity to find practical solutions."

His practice focuses on complex commercial disputes, with particular emphasis on matters involving financial institutions and professional service firms. He has handled disputes with values ranging from millions to billions of pounds, including some of the most significant banking litigation matters of the past decade.

Prior to founding BlueLion Law, he was instrumental in building one of the UK's leading litigation practices, where he served as practice head and member of the firm's global leadership team.

Our Head of Banking & Finance Litigation joined BlueLion Law from a US law firm where she led the European financial disputes practice for eight years.

She has extensive experience in complex financial services disputes, including derivatives litigation, securities claims, regulatory enforcement matters, and structured finance disputes. She is particularly known for her expertise in ISDA-related disputes and has handled numerous landmark cases involving interest rate swaps and other derivative products.

Before joining a private practice, she spent five years at a major investment bank, giving her invaluable insight into how financial institutions operate, make decisions, and approach disputes. This "insider expertise" enables her to anticipate strategies and identify pressure points that external lawyers might miss.

Legal 500 describes her as "brilliant technically and commercially astute" with "an encyclopedic knowledge of financial products and markets."

Our Head of Corporate Disputes brings a unique combination of private practice and in-house experience to his role, having served as General Counsel of a FTSE 250 company before joining BlueLion Law.

His practice focuses on shareholder disputes, M&A-related claims, directors' duties litigation, and complex joint venture disputes. His in-house experience gives him exceptional insight into board dynamics, corporate governance challenges, and the commercial realities that influence dispute strategy.

Before his in-house role, he spent 15 years at a Silver Circle law firm where he became a partner and led high-profile corporate disputes including several of the most significant shareholder actions in recent UK legal history.

He is particularly valued by clients for his strategic judgment and ability to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics in multi-party disputes. Chambers UK notes his "outstanding commercial judgment" and "ability to manage difficult personalities and competing interests."

Our Head of Fraud & Asset Recovery is one of the UK's leading practitioners in fraud investigation, asset tracing, and enforcement. Before joining BlueLion Law, she served as a prosecutor at the Serious Fraud Office and subsequently spent 12 years at a leading US law firm.

Her prosecution background provides invaluable perspective in complex fraud matters. She understands how enforcement agencies think, what evidence they seek, and how to structure responses to investigations effectively. For claimants pursuing fraudsters, she brings rigorous investigative skills and extensive experience with freezing orders, disclosure orders, and cross-border enforcement.

She has led some of the most significant fraud and asset recovery matters in recent years, including multi-jurisdictional cases involving coordinated action in over 20 countries. Her expertise extends to civil and criminal asset forfeiture, private prosecutions, and cryptocurrency tracing.
